Findings from the recently published DAWN™ Trial expanded the criteria for stroke patients who may benefit from endovascular treatment. This trial was the first to include wake-up strokes and stroke treatment for those outside the recommended 6-hour window for intervention. Even when administered within 6-24 hours of last known well, thrombectomy plus medical management resulted in significant reduction in disability and much better outcomes at 90 days. What do these trial results mean for your stroke program’s future and advancement?

During this education session, Corazon is partnering with The Joint Commission to discuss:

  • Understanding the trial's effect on stroke patient care and time-to-treatment;
  • Understanding how The Joint Commission’s planned Disease Specific Certification for Thrombectomy Centers affects existing stroke programs;
  • Understanding the key steps necessary to ensure your patients benefit from these findings into your current program, no matter the current level of certification;
  • Utilizing the findings to stay ahead of competition;
  • And more!

This is a can't-miss session! Thousands of stroke patients outside of the 6-hour window may have a reduced risk of disability based on the DAWN™ Trial. Our speakers, Stacey Lang, Senior Vice President at Corazon, Mona Steinbeiser, Consultant at Corazon, and David Eickemeyer, Associate Director, Certification at The Joint Commission will help attendees understand the expanded criteria and potential benefit of endovascular treatment on the stroke patient population. Don’t fall behind the curve in this rapidly changing and growing specialty. As a special opportunity, this event is being provided free of charge.
