Supports the Director with the management of information technology within the firm. Will assist with the development and support of Corazon’s stroke patient management application in addition to day to day technology support.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Director with project management by creating, updating and distributing project related documents (Milestone and/or project plan, Project Operational workbook, issues/decision list, etc.).
  • Assist with documentation and maintenance of the Corazon’s stroke patient management application data dictionary.
  • Assist with the development of reports for Corazon’s stroke patient management application.
  • Contribute to Corazon’s technical documentation and participate in policy, procedure, and standards development
  • Provide technical support for Corazon’s stroke patient management application.
  • Working with Corazon’s System Analyst, assist with the development and maintenance of the consulting (CUBE) database, client list, and dashboard.
  • Perform other duties/projects as assigned.
  • Provides flexibility to assume additional responsibilities as needs and time permit.

Qualifications:

Function as an integral member of the consulting team to support the execution of healthcare consulting projects. This role will involve preparing project materials for the firm’s client base, with a significant focus on the analytical aspects of the work. This consultant will conduct analytical analyses of financial, market, and operational data sets, and synthesize the information in a way that is meaningful to the clients and support project deliverables.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Functions as the point person for analytical aspects of consulting engagements that would include strategic planning, business planning, feasibility studies, and market analyses among other things. This work will include retrieving, analyzing, and synthesizing relevant data sets to conduct market analyses, financial analyses, and analyses of hospital operations.
  • Conduct market research to support client projects, and employ a problem solving mindset when working to understand clients’ situations.
  • Works closely with the Corazon client project leader and client to develop and adhere to project workplans, prepare client deliverables, and achieve project milestones.
  • Prepares and delivers presentations from concept to delivery recognizing client need and the intended audience. Conducts presentations displaying expertise particularly with market and financial information.
  • Prepares project reports for client consumption that summarize key findings and recommendations in a clear and logical manner.
  • Maintains professional client relationships. Responds readily to service requests.
  • Works with contacts in the health care industry to identify new business opportunities for the firm.
  • Maintains leading edge knowledge and skills in areas of expertise (particularly market-based and hospital financial information). Reads and discovers books, articles, reference materials, and news items that add to the firm’s intellectual base.
  • Participates in Corazon’s promotional activities, speaking engagements, professional societies, and meetings with the business/health care community. Provides articles for publication in journals and news articles.

Job Requirements:

  • Knowledge of the health care industry, preferably from an hospital finance, planning, or a decision-support background. An understanding of hospital finance and reimbursement are preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to effectively listen and communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to exercise a high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion and decision-making.
  • Bachelor’s degree (in a business/accounting discipline preferred). Work experience in a hospital or physician practice setting a must.

Performs a project leadership role on health care consulting projects. These projects are typically focused on hospital/departmental operations (efficiency, staffing, quality care delivery, etc.). Guides the team in delivering according to a prescribed work plan and assuring timely communication with team members and the client.

  • Able to provide project leadership by assisting in identifying the personnel and information resource needs for all project assignments, meet established guidelines and drive the project to completion
  • Reviews and reports to the Account Manager the project progress with work plan. Provides time and expense updates to ensure appropriate resource allocation and the match of appropriate resources to project scope and pricing.
  • Coordinates project meetings, internally and with the client. Communicates availability to assist other Corazon personnel on additional assignments.

The Senior IT Applications Developer will be responsible for the product integrity, quality assurance, development, maintenance and documentation of Corazon’s IT Stroke Product CEREBROS™. This individual will work in concert with the Senior VP to manage the application development projects, provide ongoing input to future product enhancements and development, as well as assisting in client implementation and support management.

Core Responsibilities:

Product Development
  • Responsible for the ongoing development and maintenance of the web services, application, and reporting of the IT Stroke product.
  • Responsible for the IT testing policies and procedures to ensure appropriate quality assurance of IT products.
  • Responsible for the development and maintenance of timely and accurate system documentation (inclusive of system User Guide).
  • Actively work with contracted support to ensure the project remains on-task and on-budget, review and understand firm’s intent and development direction.
Ongoing Product Management
  • Provide assistance for day-to-day functionality of the IT Stroke Product, as well as work to coordinate design and function updates. Work to ensure the overall integrity of the system and its data.
  • Work with contracted support to ensure accuracy of system through the development of edit reporting and other mechanisms.
  • Work collaboratively with other Corazon IT personnel to assure consistency with Corazon’s informational vision, process, and flow.
  • Responsible for hard copy and electronic file management, including the development and maintenance of policy and procedure protocols. Maintain all related files in an organized fashion.
  • Ensure all aspects of the system development process are organized and handled in a timely fashion.
  • Manage and maintain the end-user setup and security implementation process.
  • Act as a communication liaison between clients, Corazon operational personnel, and members of management.
General Duties
  • Assist members of the IT Neuroscience Product division in the development of client deliverables.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in C#, ASP.Net, and web development.
  • Ability to read and understand SQL Server stored procedures, functions and triggers.
  • Experience in SQL and SSRS is preferred.
  • Understanding of databases and programming.
  • Experience in both C# and .NET coding.
