CORAZON EMPLOYEE HONORED FOR COMMUNITY SERVICE

April 1, 2004 - Pittsburgh, PA—Brad Messner, I.S. Coordinator at North Hills-based Corazon Consulting, was honored for community service at the March 24, 2004 “Make the Connection Awards Luncheon,” sponsored by the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO). The Association honors the Pittsburgh-area volunteers and businesswomen who make the region dynamic and sustainable.

This year, Brad’s work at the Sewickley Township Public Library has earned him recognition for service, community responsibility, and commitment to the people and the assets of the region. He was recently named Western Pennsylvania Regional Director for his volunteer work at the Library, helping with technology needs and teaching open-to-the-public computer classes for people of all ages and skill levels. As a result of his volunteerism, the library was able to apply for a grant to purchase Assistive Technology equipment that allows people with physical handicaps to use a computer.

Mandy Luchs, Library Director, states, “Brad's services as a volunteer computer instructor are invaluable. He provides the residents of Sewickley Township and the surrounding area with the skills necessary to navigate today's computer-driven world. His efforts are of great benefit the library because we would not otherwise be able to afford an instructor to provide this service to our community.”

Corazon is a national leader in specialized consulting services for cardiovascular program development.
