CORAZON RECOGNIZED FOR GROWTH
Company Named to "Pittsburgh 100" List

September 1, 2004 - Pittsburgh, PA—Each year, the Pittsburgh Business Times seeks out the 100 fastest-growing privately-owned companies in the southwest Pennsylvania region…and this year, Corazon has made the list!

Corazon Consulting, a national leader in specialized consulting services for cardiovascular program development, was founded in 2001 by Jackie Johnson, the President of the 23-person firm. “We’re pleased and proud,” said Johnson of the honor. “It’s great to share in the entrepreneurial spirit of the thriving business community in our hometown.”

Of this diverse group of 100, Corazon appeared at number 35 overall, with a 56% growth in revenue. In the healthcare category, the firm was ranked fourth.

Qualifying companies must be for-profit privately-owned firms with sales of at least $500,000 in 2001 that show growth over the past three years. Corazon is one of the two companies founded just three years ago, thus making the list in the first qualifying year. Since the company’s inception, Corazon has also grown in terms of employee base. Starting with just a staff of five that has grown to one of over 20, Corazon is one of the 62 firms on the list with less than 50 employees.

Corazon accepted the Award at an August 25 th Reception at the Duquesne Club in downtown Pittsburgh , surrounded by representatives from the 99 other growing firms in the area. Calling Pittsburgh home, Corazon hopes to continue its contribution to the growth and prosperity of the business community of this region.

Corazon offers a full spectrum of cardiovascular program development to national clients, from strategic planning through clinical implementation.  Corazon combines business planning, market and financial analysis, feasibility studies, clinical operations, Heart Hospital design, best practice benchmarking, and staff education for newly established or existing programs. Corazon is a 2003 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Company.
