Strategic Collaboration Will Offer Expanded Benefits to CV Industry

Pittsburgh, PA —August 31, 2006—Corazon Inc., a national leader in providing specialized consulting and recruitment services to hospitals for development of cardiac and vascular programs, today announced a strategic partnership with The Alliance of Cardiovascular Professionals (ACVP), a non-profit organization on the leading edge of the cardiovascular industry that connects over 3,000 professionals in all specialties and levels of cardiovascular services by providing research, education, and other benefits to members across the country. This relationship between Corazon and ACVP will promote the sharing of information between the two organizations—in terms of industry research, CV expertise, and other resources—for the benefit of ACVP members and Corazon clients.

Collaboration between the two organizations will also expand ACVP member benefits to include preferred rates to Corazon National Conferences and other leadership and management development programs, such as The Corazon Academy, a leadership development program that will impart executive-level knowledge and skills to new and developing cardiovascular leaders who hold positions critical to the overall performance of the CV specialty, including Service Line Administrators, Cath Lab Directors, and other CV professionals.

Karen Hartman, Corazon’s COO and President of Consulting, states “this strategic relationship can have great impact on the way cardiovascular professionals lead in our industry today…Using our combined networks of contacts across the country and through the sharing of our expertise and resources, our organizations can help create better cardiovascular leaders and as a result, top performing cardiovascular programs.”

According to Peggy McElgunn, Executive Director of ACVP, “ACVP is excited about the opportunity to make this Academy available to our members. Corazon has a longstanding reputation of providing high-quality education and Corazon’s support of our conferences is one way to deliver this education…Our joint support of the Corazon Academy is another way we can mutually provide support to ACVP members.”
