CORAZON ANNOUNCES VASCULAR-THEMED CONFERENCE
Spring Event will Address One of Healthcare’s Hottest Topics: Vascular
Pittsburgh, PA —April17, 2006—Corazon Inc., a national leader in providing specialized consulting and recruitment services to hospitals for development of cardiac and vascular programs, today announced that it will hold its strategy-driven, Spring Conference, May 23-24, 2006 in Pittsburgh, PA. The 2-day event titled, “VASCULAR SERVICES: A Diamond in the Rough”, will include an impressive panel of speakers from noteworthy vascular programs across the country. Hospital executives and physician leaders will gain ‘lessons learned’ in excavating this ‘diamond in the rough,’ as the vascular specialty remains largely under-developed across the country, despite a growing need for services. Attendees will convene at The Hyatt Regency Hotel, conveniently located adjacent to the Pittsburgh International Airport, to hear strategies and solutions and network alongside the Corazon hosts, expert presenters, and vascular-industry sponsors.
Karen Hartman, COO and President of Consulting at Corazon, confirmed the industry need for programs to offer vascular care. “The estimated number of people with vascular disease is expected to grow to over 70 million by 2010, causing the market for Vascular Services to rapidly expand along with the aging of the population.” Hartman continued, “It is critical that Hospitals on the forefront of industry trends accommodate patients’ needs with Centers that address the full scope of care: peripheral vascular disease, endovascular services, diabetes care, and stroke treatment. Those that do will be best positioned to take advantage of new revenue streams in their marketplace.”
Internationally-renowned vascular expert, Dr. Frank Criado, the Chief of Vascular Surgery at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, MD, will deliver the Keynote address on “Mining Your Potential: The Future of Vascular Services.” As President of the International Society of Endovascular Specialists, his innovative perspective on the vascular specialty will engage the audience and impart new ideas and approaches for multi-disciplinary vascular care.
