INTERVENTIONAL CARDIOLOGIST
Hutcheson Medical Center (HMC) is seeking a dynamic INTERVENTIONAL CARDIOLOGIST to bring strategic insight, vision, and team-building experience to the hospital’s new PCI program. Today, the hospital offers diagnostic cardiac catheterizations and peripheral vascular angiography. In May 2009 the hospital renovated its cath lab, and they now have the ability to perform peripheral vascular interventions with a flat-panel digital imaging system. The hospital is anticipating their first PCI case taking place in early 2010.
The INTERVENTIONAL CARDIOLOGIST will be responsible for performing and interpreting non-invasive studies Electrocardiograms, Echocardiograms, Stress Tests, Nuclear Stress Tests), diagnostic cardiac caths, percutaneous interventions (elective and primary as part of CPORT), peripheral vascular interventions, and pacemaker insertions and lead wire evaluations within the cath lab setting.
Hutcheson Medical Center is a 195-bed not-for-profit acute care community hospital with a primary patient base of about 150,000 residents who reside in the Catoosa, Walker, and Dade Counties in Georgia. Located in Fort Oglethorpe, HMC is one of the largest community hospitals in the state, located within one of the fastest-growing communities.
The selected candidate will be a graduate of an accredited Medical School and would have successfully completed an Internal Medicine residency program and an approved fellowship program in Interventional Cardiology. A minimum of two years experience in a practice setting is required.
