Akron General Medical Center (AGMC), a 511-bed regional tertiary medical center located in northeast Ohio, has hired a DIRECTOR of the HEART & VASCULAR SERVICE LINE. AGMC has been named “One of America’s Best Hospitals” by US News & World Report, and was ranked 30th best heart and cardiac surgery program in the country. AGMC has also received the distinguished Solucient “Top 100” Cardiovascular Hospital title, which highlights the dedication and excellent care provided by the physicians and staff at Akron General Medical Center.

The DIRECTOR will be responsible for the ongoing business development of the heart and vascular service line, and will also assist in developing and expediting the strategic plan for Akron's new $17.4 million Heart and Vascular Center, which opened in November 2005. With 64-slice CT angiography, three cardiac catheterization labs, two dedicated electrophysiology labs, and a comprehensive cardiac rehabilitation program, the Heart and Vascular Center is truly a state-of-the-art facility.
